Our history

The story of Estonia Hébergement Nature began in 1989, when the Stewart family started building a log inn using wood sourced from the surrounding region. Three years later, the project was completed, and the inn opened its doors in the early 1990s. At that time, it served mainly as a popular stop for snowmobilers: federal trails ran directly through the site, and the lively restaurant-bar welcomed weddings and large gatherings.

In the early 2000s, the family decided to sell. For nearly a decade, the inn—then renamed 5 saisons d’Élia—was no longer fully operational. Around 2010, two French entrepreneurs, Marie-Christine and Anne, saw the potential of the picturesque site and established their inn Le Laetus. With refined cuisine and a warm, authentic French flair, their establishment quickly charmed visitors.

In 2020, the story took a new turn. Alexandre Arcand and Alexandra Pilon, both in their twenties, fell in love with the property and made it their life project. Their vision: to modernize the inn while preserving its rustic log character and deep connection with nature. In the first years, they invested over $150,000 to renovate the main building, create a spa area, restore the trails, and transform the Le Kamp mini-chalet.

In 2023, an additional investment of nearly $200,000 led to the construction of three new Nordik mini-chalets, expanding the range of accommodations. Today, Estonia has become a true haven of peace, where couples seeking rest and wellness, as well as groups on retreat, can enjoy an intimate, light-filled, and inspiring setting to reconnect with nature and with themselves.
